HB 375 is a simple bill currently in state committee that will help protect the rights of pet owners, hunters, fishermen, trappers and houndsmen statewide by limiting the powers of city / county governments to enact harmful laws by doing the following:
1) Link licensing to rabies vaccination, not reproductive status. The practice of allowing lower licensing fees for altered animals does nothing to increase public safety, and discourages people from licensing their intact animals.
2) Rely on education (which is effective), not legislation, to teach people about responsible pet ownership.
3) Recognize citizens intellectual and physical property rights in their animals, which rights are already recognized under state law.
4) Enact effective, fair and enforceable legislation instead of draconian, ineffective laws that force spay/neuter of pets, and result in increased shelter kill rates as those who cannot afford spay/neuter surgeries are forced to give up their animals because they cannot afford steep licensing fees, and do not wish to risk jail time.
It is a great piece of legislation and deserves our support!

HB 354 is a bill that will (among other things) give tax credits to land owners for conservation easements. The bill will potentially create 100,000's of acres for wildlife habitat that can lead to a great increase in hunting land opportunities! This is probably the single most important thing that we can do as sportsmen for improvement of wildlife habitat in our lifetime.
We urge you to call
